To enhance its competitive power, in the process of consolidating
its main business of shipping, ZOSCO diligently developed Non-shipping
industries in pursuit of diversfying it comprehensively ashore and
afoat. All its international freight forwarder companies are ratified
as the "first class company" by The State Foreign Trade
& Economic Ministry. With the professional staffs and efficient
operation system ZOSCO freight companies provide its clients the
first class services including space booking, customs declaration/clearance,
warehousing, and container door-to-door service, and so on.
ZOSCO engages in international dry cargo and container liner transportation
from coastal port of Zhejiang to far east country/area as Hongkong,Japan,Korea
and etc. In which, Ningbo to Hongkong,Ningbo to Japan container
liner were awarded as national core container liner by The Ministry
of Communications and their punctual shipment rate kept 100 percent
all the time. In 1998, ZOSCO took the lead in providing "two-sailing-per-week"
service on Ningbo to Hongkong container liner and obtained favorable
benefit both in society and economy.
In addition, ZOSCO owns a special ocean fleet in dry cargo transportation
among south-east Asia comprising five 6500 DWT single deck general
cargo carriers. With the effort for years, the fleet has become
a known one in the market of the area. In particular, ZOSCO has
emphasized in fleet structure adjustment and has been keen on developing
panamax size bulk carrier since 1999. Along with the investment
in four 65000-67000 DWT panamax size bulk carrier one after the
other, the core business of ZOSCO has strategically transferred
from feeder container liner and general cargo shipment among south-east
Asia area to bulk transportation in the worldwide. And both the
fleet scale and the company profit achieved bouncing advancement.
With the objective of expanding the fleet scale and adjusting the
fleet structure reached constantly, ZOSCO has shown her prosperous
future and strong competitiveness in international shipping market.
